The crew of the USS Pioneer is brought back to Empok Nor in droves. Their ship, their home having been destroyed for the greater good. They lick their proverbial wounds while the uncertainty of the future loomed.

From the gloom a new beacon arises. Starfleet has designed a new class of starship and named it after their first real Captain. The Archer Class starship, and the first of the line is christened the USS Pioneer NCC-74757-A. This ship sets out from Empok Nor and into a new Frontier.
