| Personal History | Shoshanah Prenar was born on Terok Nor in 2369. Her mother was a victim of rape during the Occupation who died during childbirth. Since her father had disowned his son, Gul Typhon Prenar decided to claim this child as his own and raised her to be an Operative and Assassin. Holmes Tali was a Bajoran who worked in ore processing on Terok Nor. She caught the eye of Gul Prenar but rebuked his advances. Three months after asking Typhon simply took what he wanted. Tali was brutally raped a number of times over the course of three days by the Gul. A month later Tali walked into the Infirmary claiming to be pregnant. This pregnancy was confirmed by the Doctor, and was perhaps the best thing that could happen to Tali. The next five months of Holmes Tali's life was that of luxury. As Typhon wanted to make sure the child was healthy. Despite that Tali would die in childbirth. Shoshanah's cranial ridges tore a blood vessel internally and Tali bled to death. Shoshanah's formative years were standard for all Cardassians. When she reached sixteen her father trained her in the ways of the Obsidian Order. Due to her physical attributes he made sure to teach her to be a covert assassin. By 2390 she had completed her training and was assigned her first mission. That first mission was to assassinate the Kai of Bajor. This mission was personal for Shoshanah as she denied the Bajoran heritage that she had. During this mission she assumed the identity of an orphan of the Occupation. This allowed her access to Bajor. While there she got close to the Kai, and learned about the faith. It is this closeness and belief that ultimately is the reason that she never removed her nose ridges, and her desire to kill the Emissary of the Prophets. Due to a lack of weaponry she killed the Kai using her braid to choke them. This would become a trademark for Shoshanah Prenar. Not much is known about her outside the Order. Starfleet Intelligence has a file on her although they do not know her real name. Her Starfleet file is labeled Obsidian Wraith. She has fifty four confirmed kills attributed to her. All this began with the Kai.
