The Pioneer is tasked with escorting Brigadier General Seamus O'Rourke to his new command at Camp Nostromo. This has the added benefit of reuniting the Pioneer's Chief Medical Officer with her father.

Upon arrival the Pioneer finds all 12,000 Marines stationed at Camp Nostromo dead. There is no sign of a battle or any other struggle. The question remains who killed the Marines of Nostromo. Brigadier General O'Rourke commandeers his daughter's vessel to find out.
